sharepoint site keeps prompting for password

While working on the SharePoint site, you are repeatedly prompted to enter your username and password. Here are the steps to fix this issue:

go to Tools - Internet options

Security tab

Click Local Intranet and then click the Sites button

click Advanced

The site URL should be displayed automatically, click Add

Click Close and then OK

Click on the Privacy tab

Click the Advanced button

check 'Override automatic cookie handling'

check 'Accept' on First-part and Third-party cookies

Check 'Always allow session cookies'

Click OK and OK again
