[Solved] The dreaded Blue Screen of Death BAD_POOL_CALLER

Cant imagine that after 10 years since XP was launched I will have to troubleshoot the BAD_POOL_CALLER BSOD

I was unable to start the computer in any mode, no command prompt, no safe mode, no nothing.

Did a thorough hardware scan and all reported good, since everything thing I checked was good, I could narrow down the issue to the OS.

I created the Live CD using UBCD and restored the registry to an earlier date, rebooted and the computer booted fine.
